Late-night Classroom (真夜中の教室, Mayonaka no Kyōshitsu) is the 119th chapter of the Gantz manga, written and illustrated by Hiroya Oku.

Synopsis

The chapter begins with Kei Kurono practising his aim with his X-Gun using a bottle as a target and doing research on Gantz using Joichiro Nishi's website, all in order to survive long enough to escape from the Gantz Room. He receives a call from Shion Izumi, however, who tells him that someone who looks identical to Kurono is currently at their school. Kurono, thinking it may be the Surviving Shorty Alien, immediately puts on his suit and goes to the school.

He finds Shion holding a pistol, alone inside a classroom, and asks him where the person that looks like him is. Shion admits that it was just a lie, and talks for a long while about a person who was obsessed with Gantz and the game, especially after one particular hunt which occurred on Shinjuku street. Kurono deduces that Shion is the man that he is talking about before mockingly telling him that he should go back to the hospital. Shion shoots Kurono on the side of the head as he is walking away, at which point the chapter ends.
