Synopsis
The chapter begins with Kaoru Iwamoto laying deceased, with Shion Izumi standing with Ryotaro Haga and Naoichi Mikawa, asking Kei Kurono how many people he is willing to kill to save the life of Tae Kojima, who is standing next to him. Shion states that Yoshikazu Suzuki and Kenzo Sakata are gravely injured and will not survive unless Tae is killed before he turns invisible in order to eliminate the two of them. Kurono activates his cloaking device, also, while hanging onto Tae to cloak her as well, and he narrowly jumps over a sword strike by Shion.
Kurono dodges several more attacks with Tae before Reika Shimohira appears before them, pointing her X-Gun at Izumi and telling him not to move. She tells Kurono that she will take Tae out of the game area where she will not be harmed, but before she can disarm Shion he smacks her away, giving Kurono an opening to shoot him once with his X-Gun. While he is distracted Kurono runs past Shion and hands Tae over to Reika, who immediately runs away with her. The chapter ends with Kurono being surrounded on all sides by Shion, Ryotaro, Naoichi and Kouki Inaba.
