Missing Compassion (慈悲欠落, Jihi Ketsuraku) is the 65th chapter of the Gantz manga, written and illustrated by Hiroya Oku.

Cover Page[]

Kei Kurono is seen from just above his shoulders and upwards while wearing a normal shirt rather than his Gantz Suit.

Synopsis[]

The chapter begins directly after the end of the previous one, with Kei Kurono having just blown off the Grumpy Alien's leg with his X-Gun. The alien then begins screaming, prompting Kurono to rush forwards and blow off its other foot two, forcing it down onto its knees and support itself on its fists. Kurono then stands directly underneath its head and between its arms, and after pulling out his X-Pistol proceeds to blow off both of its arms as well. This causes Tomashiro Jiro and Akitoshi Okazaki to begin shouting and cheering in excitement before Kurono brings up his X-Gun and aims at the aliens head.

Masaru Kato repeats his name twice, shouting it the second time, seemingly in an attempt snap him out of a trance and get him to show mercy, while Kei Kishimoto hides her face in her hands, all the while Tomashiro and Akitoshi are shouting at him, telling him to kill the alien. Kurono then pulls the trigger, shocking Masaru and causing him to briefly see Joichiro Nishi rather than the Kei Kurono he thought that he knew.

The aliens head then explodes and the chapter ends with Kei Kurono and the others running in pursuit of the second alien with high moral, due to Kurono's actions.
