Goru Suzuki was an elderly politician who died from cancer before arriving in the Gantz room at the start of the Onion Alien mission. He originally assumed that he had died and gone to heaven. After being sent out to the mission area he left the others and he tried to walk to a nearby train station. When he stepped on a piece of glass, cutting his foot, he realized that he was alive and was overjoyed. However, his head exploded when he left the boundary of the mission.

Kurono and Kishimoto discovered his corpse while walking home along the same route and figured out what the ringing in their heads meant, thus narrowly avoiding the same fate. In the anime that scene of Kei and Kishimoto finding his corpse is absent.
