Suzumura Sadayo first appears in the Gantz room before the start of the Tanaka Aliens mission.
Before she died, she spent her time stalking the male model Hojo. After spotting her at a convenience store, Hojo takes off on a motorcycle, agreeing to let another girl ride with him. She switches places with the other girl without him realizing it until after they had driven away. They both die in a traffic accident, and enter the Gantz room together.
She hides from the rest in the room, watching from around a corner, and isn't seen by anyone during the Tanaka mission.
She continues to stalk Hojo after the mission, seen watching him in a movie theater.
During the Buddha temple mission, she lets herself be seen, rushing to help Hojo and the others as they hold up the foot of a large statue, to save a man's life. She stays and fights with Hojo inside the temple, and dies in his arms, kissing him.
Gantz refers to her as "Sadako",[1] based on her similarity to Sadako from "The Ring", and the similarity in their names.
